Kleinwort Benson Hires Ex-Rothschild Man As MD For Private Wealth Arm

Kleinwort Benson, the UK firm, has appointed former Rothschild Wealth
Management managing director Malcolm Roberts to the same post at its private
wealth management business, taking up the role in October. Roberts will report to Stephen Rothwell, head of private
wealth management, Kleinwort Benson said in a statement. Roberts has previously
worked at Rothschild for 10 years, and before that, held a number of roles at
JP Morgan Private Bank, Fleming Private Asset Management and Montagu Loebl
Stanley. “He brings huge experience and expertise in wealth
structuring, family governance and investment management for complex UHNW
families, which will be invaluable as we continue to develop and grow Kleinwort
Benson’s Private Wealth Management business,” Rothwell said. His appointment follows those of Andrew Wheeler as executive
director, business development, Valentina Tacchino as head of private wealth
management international and Clive Wright as head of offshore private wealth
management.
